What we are looking for

Our client is searching for a skilled Osteopath to join our team. As the Osteopath is to provide a timely effective therapy to the patients within their scope of practice. They are to work as part of the therapy team to help ensure best practice within the department and to mantain their CBD. 

To be successful as an Osteopath you should be highly analytical, perceptive, and detail-oriented.

Osteopath Responsibilities:

Accountable to the Clinical Director, professional, legally responsible with high standards of clinical care for all aspects of clinical duties, including the management of patients in your care. To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients and to formulate effective, clinically reasoned treatment plans.  

• Ensure best practice in all aspects of patient care and maximise end to end patient focused support and delivery of services through outcome evaluation.

• Maintain and update professional knowledge by attendance at post graduate courses, reading current literature and communicating any updates through informal teaching sessions.

• Support the Clinical Director and Practice Manager, and to be flexible and open to undertaking any other duties that might be considered appropriate by the business, especially during busy periods.

• Support the department by attending all departmental staff meetings, additional meetings agreed with the Practice Manager and participate in the departmental appraisal system. Support the company and actively participate in events deemed necessary by the practice manager and clinical director.

• To be responsible for any specific identified project agreed with the clinical director and Practice Manager that are in the best interest of the business and demonstrate an understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management and apply it to the work environment.

• Ensure familiarity and compliance with the optimal code of conduct, employees handbook, departmental operational policies including financial and ensure that all record keeping is kept to a quality in line with recommendations of the Dubai Health Authority.

• Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively with doctors, medical staff, patients and carers, in order to maximise rehabilitation potential and provide safe and efficient discharge plans. Ensure all communication is actioned within a reasonable professional time period. Maximum 48 hours.

• Responsible for compliance with DHA regulations at the time including maintaining the DHA licence annually. Responsible for maintaining DHA health and safety policies deemed necessary at the time> Responsible for maintaining own continued professional development in line with the DHA guidance of 10 hours a year.

Osteopath Requirements:

• BSC (Hons) Osteopathy plus post graduate training in the speciality area.

• Minimum 5 years experience.

• Must hold a DHA licence.

• Cranial osteopathy with pediatrics (preferable, however not essential)


  • Taking detailed patient histories and asking a range of questions to determine the root cause of illnesses and injuries.
  • Performing palpations and using a variety of movements to help diagnose illnesses.
  • Using manipulative therapy to correct and treat issues related to the muscles, bones, and other systems in the body.
  • Developing treatment plans and providing medical advice to patients and their caregivers or family.
  • Prescribing medicine and performing surgery if necessary.
  • Establishing rapport with patients.
  • Scheduling follow-ups and monitoring patients’ progress.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the medical field by attending conferences and expanding professional networks.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and seeking advice where appropriate.
